Restored Branch Charity Relief
Reaching Out To The World Through Our Charity

Members are engaged in an ongoing program to collect, distribute and sell clothing through our charity, Restored Branch Charity Relief, which falls under the small charities regulation in the United Kingdom. The church collects items of used clothing to be re-used. We also exchange some items of clothing for money and set aside the money for the Charity so that we may be able to use a portion of this money to help enrich the lives of those less fortunate than we and ease their burden.

“As members of the Restoration and as Christians we believe that charity is the pure love of Christ. We teach that when we serve others, we are also serving God, and in turn are showing Christ like attributes in serving others. The Lord said “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. One these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets”. In the eyes of our Saviour, love and charity are identical. All of His acts of charity were done not from a sense of duty, but from a deep feeling of love for everyone that He encountered. He didn’t limit His service to His friends; He didn’t limit it to those who were wealthy or middle class. He didn’t even limit it to those who were worthy, in the worlds eyes, of charity. Jesus Christ demonstrated charity constantly and encouraged His followers to do the same. For us Christ’s life is the ultimate example of charity. Through His example, we cam find happiness and enrich the lives of others. Christ shows us that if we put others first, we can find true joy. The definition of charity is the pure love of Christ. Charity is one of the many gifts from Christ. It should be sought with prayer and diligence.

In the book of Mormon we read “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail. (Moroni 7) We are asking for you to show charity to those less fortunate, it is our aim to collect as much as we can and give it as charitable donations to those who stand in need of it most.

The Restored Branch of Jesus Christ is committed to offering charitable support to whoever is in need no matter the religion or ethnicity of the person. We are happy to give you a copy of our charter please contact us and we will email it to you.
